OK in another post I asked if anyone knew of a 68Z with 477646 vin# and a fellow member told me where to look and for $4.95 I know that the car is in currrently registered in New York State soooo any police from New York that can run the vin??? it would be pretty neat to get it back to the car.

OK  I spent the $4.95 and the car is registered in New York state as recent as 2-19-2009. I'll call my police buddies and find out who has the ca.r this should get interesting.

I can deal with the car itself better than the dash/gauges. I just can't handle the gauges.

Well my 02 is that they missed a great oppurtunity to make the car more retro ie: Challenger and Mustang. Some of the early drawings of a "potential Camaro" that were in some of the major publications were on the money!  looked 10 to 1 better with a more 69 look. Not to sound rude towards the GM guys but I won't be buying one. The gauges look like the dash in my 1952 5 window NAPCO truck. I've got my flame suit on so have at me, I just hope that some of this hype from a potential buyer will enlighten them to make some changes before it goes into production

General Discussion / Original owner of my 68Z coming MOnday
« on: January 14, 2007, 03:41:47 PM »
I thought I would share this with evryone since it's a rather unusual occurance. I've stayed in touch with the original owner of my 68 Z/28 over the years but have never met him just talked on the phone and e-mailed occasionally. Being busy with family and paying the bills we've just never got together even though he's only 2 hrs. away. I received an e-mail from him yesterday and since he's now retired and bought a motor home he will be here after lunch tomorrow. He has not seen the car since 1971 so I'm sure it will be an interesting re-union.I'll post some pics late tomorrow of the original owner with the car.
Thanks Shupee
