General Discussion / Re: Crossram Package

Was this the same time you received the cross ram setup? Can you narrow it down to the month? Any idea how or why you got on the list?

General Discussion / Re: GM hoods

Original flat hoods are out there. Usually $50 to $150 depending on condition.

I have a couple of extras, including one with a hole that was cut in it in the early 80s. It was on a buddy’s 67 for a few years - when the car had a tunnel ram and was a “show only” car.

General Discussion / Re: Tachometers
« on: May 20, 2018, 07:33:00 PM »
I agree the tach on both cars are certainly possible.

But wouldn't they have exhausted the 6000/7000 tachs before switching to the 6000/8000 tachs, and then exhausted those before finally switching to the 6500/8000 tachs?  Then once very late/extended model year production occurred would they have not gone back to the most recent suppliers? Which would have been 6500/8000?

Finally photobucket.com has reached point of no return and now all my former pictures held as hostage are back! The new annual price is fare and immediately after paying all the pics in my threads worldwide are back!   ;D

What is the cost? About $25 per year?

RMR if you can please verify the build dates for both as very late 69 model year cars, I can comment further.

I have posted this advice several times for others.

If you are serious about purchasing a car, a personal onsite inspection is needed! Most of us don’t have money to burn.

I have purchased 2 cars in my life based on just pics. It worked out great once, and not so great another time. Food for thought.

I have no solid numbers but it makes a small difference. Reduces weight off the nose too.

Every little bit helps for the quarter mile...

General Discussion / Re: This VIN in the DB?
« on: May 19, 2018, 11:31:11 AM »
Yes, it does not have it's original engine, so it's an unknown V8 car.

If you have more data on it, send me a PM.

Assembly date stamp is clearly visible in pic #2 of the auction. Partial VIN is not so clear. Did you ask for the partial VIN or are you the seller?

The car is not in the CRG database, but I now have notes on it in case it shows up.
