Hi,

I was wondering if this trim tag and VIN line up as far as the dates go? Or if anyone has any info on this car

Trim Tag

ST 69  12437 Nor 105029
711     72 72 PNT
09D

VIN  124379N513069

Thanks

If you look at the chart here;  http://camaros.org/geninfo.shtml#HowMany
That Vin. would have definetly fallen in the NOR. Sept. 68 range, but at least would appear to have been started earlier in the month.  Maybe it was held up for some reason.  The Trim Tag and VIN. Tag appear legit.  On the Windshield it says possible Houndstooth Interior,  711 is Standard Black.

Yeah Mike the seller has two set's of Houndstooth seat covers, one Black and Orange, and the other White and Black,  that he will throw in for extra cash.
Must have been for another project or two.

Hmmmm, that listing states no Engine, no Trans.  Also states that the paint is original and rough,  the car was originally Garnet Red.  Starting to smell a little "fishy".

Why do you say garnet red? The paint code on the trim tag is 72 which is Hugger orange IIRC.

One thing I noticed in the photos is the hole where the heater box/cover goes. That doesn't look factory to me, it looks why too large: anyone know what is up with that?

OOoops!   "Oldzimers" moment,  been checking out 2 different cars at same time.  Got confused.

I understand easy to do, I just wanted to make sure I was correct on the Hugger orange, my mind isn't what it once was.

anyone ever seen a firewall that looks like that?  The hole for the heater box looks way to large to me.

Yes, it's the correct hole for the firewall without A/C.
