Correct finish on double ended brake line and fuel line clips

Can anyone tell me the correct finish for the double ended brake line and fuel line clips that are mounted to the side rails and underside of my 68 Z28. Should they be black phosphate or just painted like the semi gloss like the under body? Thank you for all the good information. Scoop
