A few pics of my 4K car. Kurt downsized these photos for me. Sometime i fix it up Day2 street machine, thats what the interior and engine compartment photos are. The full photo is in factory stock trim. Yea they're F70's, i don't like the D70.

Lovely car!    :)
I have 2 questions though:
1 - Is the SS horn cap an aftermarket? I thought there were no 'SS' only caps for 67 BB cars. Both my 67 L35's have the standard Camaro cap (w/standard interior).
2- Did you add the lift brackets? I still can't get a clear answer if BB Camaro's had lift brackets in '67 (I know small blocks didn't use them yet) though I know in '68 it was more common.

Are you using any zinc oil additives?

All the chrome stuff on the steering wheel is aftermarket, just wanted to dress it up a little. Not sure about your question on the SS horn cap. I'll check that out.
I added the lift brackets when i built the car in 1995, not sure about that one either. Good questions, you've given me something to research. Thanks.
According to the cowl tag its not suppose to have the pin stripe down the side, drip rail moldings or wheel well moldings but i liked that stuff so i put them on it.

Interesting...I wasn't aware there was a code on the cowl tag for pin striping  ??? . My 67 LOS car (4B) has the original paint and striping but I don't remember seeing any code for it. Unless maybe it's part of another option package?

Question guys. Notice in the engine comp. picture i don't have the middle belt of the three groove set up. Its the one that goes from the w. pump to the crank pulley. I see it in the UPC book but just a picture. Anyone know where i can get one of those belts or have a part# for me?

Richard, the original part number was 3837810 and was also used on the mid to late 60's 427 Corvettes.

And Mike, no it should not have the SS horn cap. More info HERE.

No pin striping indicator on the Trim Tag either. It was included in the Z22 Rally Sport option, but you couldn't get it separately in 67.

Very nice car Rich,I like white also, and the black stripe accents it well.

Hi Ed,

The hyperlink to the steering wheel article is what I had read months ago. It sure puts to rest some doubts I have had about mine and also people telling me that I should have the SS cap when in fact I had the standard cap for the 30+ years I have owned both cars. The pin striping rolled into the RS package makes sense now (I wasn't aware of that fact). This is what I have on my cars.

Thanks,
Mike

The pinstripe could be had with either the Z22 rally sport option (3L code) or Z21 style trim option (3K code). Since you chose to add the chrome wheel well trim and roof drip moulding, the pinstripe complements those pieces to complete the appearance of the Z21 option.

Very nice looking car. Your shift boot appears to be the one for console equipped cars rather than no console. It used to be kind of hard to find the right boot but they are reproducing it these days.
