Hi i just purchased a complete seatbelt set  for my 69z . All labels are there i want to clean them up any ideas woulbd be great thanks

With survivor belts I use oxyclean, I leave them overnight in scalding hot tap water, then hose them off and hang to dry... the results have been phenomenal.

I used a cap full Woolite on mine, same thing soak in gallon bucket of hot water over night, a lite scrub with a brush, rinse off, hang to air dry. I left the buckles on. The reason for the Woolite is it doesn't break down cloth fiber like more aggressive laundry type soaps do.

No But I do snap off the covers and blow the buckles out.

The covers can be polished with plastic polish or swirl remover then plastic polish.

When I did our deluxe seat belts with Oxy Clean (thanks James) Kurt when it was the buckle I extended the belt all the way so the buckle was not submerged. Next day rinsed and let dry and then extended belt webbing and did end missed from being out of solution. I did not want to have that knurled portion sitting in liquid. A couple after cleaning.

I soaked the belt in the oxyclean solution and then pulled them out and scrubbed them with a soft brush and rinsed.
For standard belts, remove the plastic buckle covers *before* soaking. The oxyclean removed the color from the top of the covers and from several of the release buttons. The sun had faded the covers and cleaning apparently pulled out the oils/plasticizers that were keeping the color darker. The undersides were fine. I sanded the center section and removed the light colored plastic.

Here's a pic of an original and a cleaned one (both are blue). Not sure what to do about the textured sides.

fwiw - To remove the cover, insert 2 small screwdrivers down the sides closer to the buckle's opening and pry up.
