B.U. rear end

I'm looking at a B.U. rear end for my 1969 Z28. Its casting date is June 28th and the axle code is stamped July 23 rd. That seems like a big gap in dates, almost a month, does that seem correct?

For comparison, the BU rear axle in my '68 Z/28 was cast on 1-3-68 and assembled on 1-19-68.

I've seen dates close like that and I've seen one with the dates two months apart. The rear end that I'm looking at is just a hollow axle, no guts.
