Just bought a 67 camaro with ford rear end, mono spring. When i look from rear of car noticed the rear spring mount isnt inline with front mount. Can anyone comment on this (where it should be) or post picture showing where stock rear spring mount should be located. Also pass. side tire is closer too frame then drivers side (offset to drivers side)

Any help appreaciated

Welcome to the forum. You will find a lot of knowledge here. Can you post a pic? It will help understand what is going on.

Looks like they have moved the rear spring mounting inboard of the rear frame....it should be centered on the frame.  Another big clue is the sectioned gas tank...the end has been lopped off several inches.  I am enclosing a link that shows the proper rear spring mounting.

There are after market offset rear perches available that are used to allow wider tires on the rear. If I remember correctly these mounts call for a narrowed gas tank, and also offered are "tubs" to widen the inner fenders. These do not look like offset mounts I have seen advertised, but look to have a similar offset. Someone put a bit of effort into this project.

Is rear end suppose to be perfectly centered? Drive shaft centered in hump of car? Should tires have same clearence on both sides?
