Glad everyone is back. I actually finally looked this week end and it has the hole in the subframe. The picture above isn't showing anymore but I believe its the correct one. Did anything else come with the D80 option or just front and rear spoilers?

Nope - just the spoilers.

Thanks, the picture came through tonight and it is the correct hole.

When did  d80 become standard? and was it coded into the trim tag?

Spoilers (D80): The spoiler option was not available in 1967 on any Camaro. It became available as an option on all cars (except those with a rear antenna) in 68-69. It was not mandatory on any car, except for the 69 pace car replicas and later 69 Z's.
Per production options: CRG

Here's a picture of my tag with the D80.

Is the bolt supposed to be pointing down as in the picture? Looks like a hazzard when sliding under on a creeper.

If you're asking about the center brace rod-to-subframe attachment, that's the way it was designed; see the Assembly Manual.

Is that hole only on D80 cars? Or on all subframes?

A subframe was not D80 prejudiced, none had the hole until the spoiler was mounted.

The subframe hole was drilled using the brace rod as the drill fixture, as shown in the Assembly Manual.

Had a look at mine. It does not have the 5/16 nut and bolt as shown in the pic. above. It has a 1/4 self tapping screw installed. Hole is to small for the 5/16 bolt. A variation?

I notice your bolt drops in from the top & a nut is added. On my 69Z10 the subframe is treaded & the bolt just screws in to the frame to hold the spoiler bracket on??

<<Also look for a hole in the front subframe for the center support bar for the front spoiler. Someone here probably has a pic.>>

Here's a photo of the center support rod attachment to the subframe.

I doubt it's threaded, I bet it's a self tapping screw,
