I have a 69 L78. The engine pad nubers are : To104JL..(I THINK ITS A ONE) I was told the vin# would be on the oil flange, which it is and matches all doc's i have for the car. Is the reason because the moved it because of the change in the alt. location? Also, what do these numbers tell me?

Thanks,
Vince

T0104JL =  For a 1969 model, this is interpreted as a Camaro 396cid/375hp engine with automatic transmission (TH400) assembled on January 4th (1969) at the Tonawanda, NY engine assembly plant.

Paul,

Thanks for your help. Was a bit worried that the vin#  was not there.

If you can send me a pic of the engine pad, I'll take a look at it.

Kurt,

Thanks, says the pic is to big. I was never worried the stamp was a fake. a alot of folks have looked at it and all say its good. I just never got around to doing any research on the car until i was going to sell it.
