I always thought my early 09E LOS Camaro should have Astro Ventilation glass, but it doesn't.
Then I realized, it's an AC car, it doesn't actally have Astro Ventilation, maybe thats why it's not printed on the glass.
Did AC cars get Astro Ventilation printed on the glass?

Good question.
My friend here in NZ has a 68 ragtop with AC and Astro Ventilation on the door glass.
It all looks original too.

Yes, all early 68's got the Astro Vent logo. It was discontinued after November, 1967. What are the DATE CODES on your side glass?

Date code is AX10, September 1968.
It's a September 1967 built car, so it looks like the glass is not original and explains why it does not have the Astro Ventilation printed on it.
Although technically, AC cars don't have Astro Ventilation.

My 02E car from LOS has Flo-Liite side glass with a date of AZ .I think that means November of 1967 the glass was made.

My 04D car has had aftermarket side glass fitted at some atage ( Temperlite ). All the numbers are the same on all side windows and read from the outside.
The rear window is  factory fitted, dated LX-10. March 68 and is M75 tinted, Softray.
The front window is a Guardian, which I assume is aftermarket, Safety float, Shaded. Laminated,DOT22, with the A-S1 halfway up the pillar. All read from the outside.
Can anyone shed any light on this front screen?
I hope that helps, maybe not. But it explains why my car does not have the Astro ventr labels on the door glass.

My 12E NOR Z28 Camaro has Astro Ventilation (logo) window dated AZ-10 in the left door and AZ in the right door. I know the left window is original but I'm not sure about the right window. The car was damaged on the right side and in being repaired when I bought it in August 1968. That window might have been replaced.

Although the Astro Vent logo was discontinued after November, 1967, there's a period of overlap where later cars may have been fitted with it, depending on how much was left in inventory.

There's one 05C car in the database that has it and MY car, a 05D car has it.

Even if the car had a/c it still had the "Astro Ventilation" as the door jamb vents in the 1/4 panels were considered part of the Astro Ventilation system. I finished a car two years ago that is an 02D Norwood car with factory a/c, and it has its original door glass with the Astro Ventilation on it................RatPack........................
