7029207 Q/Jet replacement dated unit vs. an original dated '69 carb...  Why did they make replacement dated units, and, are they exactly the same in a performance sense vis a vis, the original '69 carburetor???  T.

With the same part number, the service replacement should function just like the original. Service replacement carburetors were made after the production year of the car, as reflected by the stamped date, just like any other Service part.
