5599 Reverse Upper Lock Out Rod

Is the stamp 5599 located in the same location on all original upper reverse lock out rods?

I do have a 5599 rod. I would just like to know where the location of the stamp is on an original rod. Thank you.

I don't believe every rod received the stamping in the same exact location. There is not way to prove that because we can not compare every rod ever produced in a side by side comparison.

If you would like me to take a look at your stamping I will.

MY original rod has the stamp 5599 towards the top where it connects to the steering column. I am looking to purchase another rod for a different restoration. The rod I am looking at does not have the stamp where my original rod has the stamp. Maybe other Members can add to this discussion on where their stamp is located. Thank you for offering to look at my stamp.
