I like many bought a used Camaro in the 1980's when it was usual and  customary to Seat three across the "front" in a most dangerous and reckless fashion. The result besides a sore Bum was a broken console lid. I sourced a GM lid from Classic Camaro in the 80's. It took awhile to get to flocking the underside. Here is how I accomplished that.

Kit per above
Masking

Apply the supplied black adhesive
Load applicator tube with flocking media

Looks like I got a few pic out of order, but you get the idea.

Jim, looks great, thanks for posting, I have a kit from Flock-It! (compressed air version) that I was planning to use once I'm ready to tackle the console restoration. In your opinion how close is the flocking to the factory original?

I can state that the above photos are not represented of the eyeball vision, the "FLASH" effect make it look silvery' and course. This is not how it looks in practice. It is nice and dark and velvety. I  think like a nice fresh set of Hair Plugs LoL! it is a bit courser than 50 year old flocking. > Joking.

Compressed AIR Wow that will drive the flocking fibers straight and deep into the adhesive, I bet that will make a visual difference, maybe a finer finish. Neat.

Thanks Jim.

* Of course I flock-d my 68 SS console lid a few years ago and now getting (Understanding) that the 68's were unflocked. Figures.

The compressed air applicator is an unnecessary luxury but I have more than one console to do so I sprung for the upgrade. I haven't used it yet but the operating pressure is 15-18 PSI and I'm hoping it provides a uniform application. Never thought it might also improve adhesion but it likely will.
