Not yet, but I am extremely interested and serious about buying it and would like some "professional" opinions on the red flags.  Been looking for the "perfect car" for 30 years on and off and even though this one is not on the top of my list, its a strong 2nd and I have the $.

I have no idea if this engine is original to the car or not, but one thing can be stated with high probability IMHO...  The engine pad has been 'tampered with'... and includes an attempt to 'redo' or ??.. factory broach marks, and the RH edge of the pad also shows evidence of horizontal machine marks.

Well one obvious thing Kurt could do is look up the original paperwork or contact such person, and see what the original docs show, right???

I've known this car for years. Note they neglect to include any of Jerry's report...
Its been red for a long time. Fake tag - was 59-59, 722.
Was NOM and wrong axle. By 2002, it had the restamped block.
Doc is an newspaper ad - lists the options - A01 D55 G80 G84 J52 M21 N40 U17 U63 VE3 ZK3 Z22 Z28 Z87.

Great info Kurt.
Well at least it was a Z/28 originally.

thanks for posting.

Brings up a question: was there a change in the tag used for LA during the 69 model year to VN?

I replied to your email.
Because you had the docs and not the car. Orphan document = not with the car. Now they are. :)

Two friends of mine have this VIN:

124379 N 560718
124379 N 583506

Both were officially ported to Switzerland by GM Biel.
No assembly, only import.
