I currently have this setup all around:  14 x 6 steel rims with 225 70 r 14 tires.  Here's what I want to do.  I want to get larger wheels and tires for the rear, but I want to still be able to use my SS hubcaps.  Did GM make 14 X 7 rims?  And I'm not talkin' about rallye wheels, just the regular factory steel wheels.  If I can get a couple 14 X 7 rims, what size tires would fit?  235 60r 14?  I have stock front and rear suspension.   Thanks in advance.

Standard 69 SS wheels were 14x7 XT wheels.

IF coded wheels are 14x7 steel wheels also found on early 69 LA cars as documented on my Broadcast sheet.

Thanks Danny and Jonesy.  These are plain Jane rims you're talking about?  In other words my SS hubcaps will pop right on?  I'll stat looking around for a pair.  Any suggestions regarding tire size?  235/60/14?

Joe, yes the XT and IF wheels are both plain jane steel wheels. Hub cap will pop right on. As far as tire size I don't think you would want to go any wider than a 235 on a 7 inch rim. Standard tire size was F70 and I believe a 235 is just a little wider than an F70.
