Hi All,

Does anyone know where I can buy suitable Posi Diff Additive in Victoria, Australia for my 68 SS/RS 12 bolt?

Cheers,

I believe most of the differntial fluid here in the U.S. has the additive in it for the clutches..

The original (60's and 70's) GM posi additive was supposedly made from 'whale oil', and when they were going to discontinue it, I bought a few bottles.   Attached are photos of two bottles of additive and a bottle of diff lube I bought from GM before that happened in the late 70's..  been on my shelf for the Z28 for a LONG time now.. :)

I have no idea what GM sells for (old) posi axles nowadays...  ??

Whale oil? No wonder it stinks...... ::)
Here's what is currently available from ACDelco, but plenty of good aftermarket alternatives. Pretty sure I used to be able to get this or equivalent from Holden back when I had a VY SS....

Go to your local Ford dealer (really!) and purchase 'Friction Modifier' for clutch type rear ends. Why the Ford product you ask? Its the best...seriously.
