A buddy is interested in this car and I wondered what other people think of the TT and engine stamp. Thanks.

The dates line up (engine assembly, VIN); the broach marks look good.  The only issue which jumps out at me when viewing your photos is that there are 'gouges' or ??.. over the DZ application code, those could be due to some careless person scraping the pad?? A very close examination of that area would be in order.

Otherwise I don't see any issues with the stamps, nor do I see any problems with the TT, (but I'm not a 'repro TT expert'...    it looks real to me.

PS.  Your car probably completed assembly on 3 or 4 February (about 2 weeks after the engine assembly date) which is very consistent with other cars.

No reason to fake a Van Nuys trim tag, except maybe to change color/interior combinations

I don't think I have ever seen a trim tag with VN. All I can remember seeing is LOS in that place. Is this common??   Danny

Thanks for all of the responses, I was unsure about the TT and the stamp looked mangled so it raised a red flag for me, so that's why I threw it out there.

Known car. The car recently attained a window sticker. How to make an honest car be questioned.....
Rest of it is OK.
