Well I saw in another thread a member asking about values. I did not want to clog up his thread, so I started one on this car:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Chevrolet-Camaro/232859799470

I think it has a lot going for it originality wise, but is on the short side of Survivor because there is SO much patina. So it is going to need a full resto, just to save it.

Already at $35k. We will see if that is a serious bid

As of a minute ago 51 bids up to $25,725 but reserve not met.  Interesting to see where it lands.

Sorry, has a buy it now for $35k. Many options on this car. Seems like the exception (not the norm) to have so many options on an original car. I see many over restored cars, with tons of options, and always wonder if any really came loaded like that.

Really? buy the car, 30k and a lot of work and then you have 65k in another red on black, non X code, undocumented 69 Z. And I did say a lot of work. And that piece of distributer in the block? Might want to drop the pan. Last time I saw that there were pieces of rod stuck at the cam.

Bid is already top dollar in my opinion.

Buy it now us $33K and it's cash only.

Drivetrain seems ok but a better pic of the engine pad would be nice. Tough to say how bad the engine is hurt, but it's hurt.

Is that a power convertible top switch next to the wiper switch?

Rear window defogger switch?  Ad says it has that option.

Hardtop wouldn't have a convertible top switch.

Seems to be what he describes, pricing is fair for what the car is (if the block stamping stands up).

I really like the guy's humor in his ad - read the first line of the second paragraph of the description. I needed a good laugh -

Having a 11D build date would mean the car came with "AD" rims, not the "YH" as he's stated.

I just now got the opportunity to check and see where the auction finished up and it's no longer available.  My guess is it was still below reserve (which had been lowered to $31k and change) and a off EBay deal was concluded.   I was really curious to see where it landed. Oh well  :-\

Buy it now was $31,500 and bid was at $25,725 when it dropped off. Probably did get an offer. Listing said "no $100 bills" but wanted cash or wire transfer. There have been cases around here if counterfeit bills as low as $10 in circulation. I wonder if he would accept coins, like rolls of quarters. Ha ha  :)

It's odd that the car has a cowl induction coil bracket, lays the coil back at a steeper angle to clear the larger diam air cleaner.

Anyone see the CT MARKED Speedometer Cable?

I ordered a Z28 back then and I did get the rear defogger.  It was like a hair dryer. It just blew air on the back window.
