If you're not worried about looking original...
I'm running Bilstein's on all four corners and I love the ride.

Hi Thanks! I was checking if anyone ever made anything close to originals or someone who maybe restored old ones! Thanks! Bill

Heartbeat City sells repop gray spiral shocks, about $100 each.  No idea if the other vendors sell these as well.

Which KYB? Gas-A-Just or stock replacement? Gas-A-Justs are like a steel rod, KYB stock replacements provide a smooth ride.

I did what Bill did.  Ours is a daily driver so I went with the KYB stock replacements and painted them grey, car still has it's original springs all around.  Ride is pretty decent, as good as could be expected for a short wheel base car.

I have Bilstein on the 68 and the ride is great, sporty.
I have KYB on the 69 with original springs and they ride real nice and smooth.

Do not put the repro spiral shocks on the front if you want to drive it with any semblance of a decent ride.  They are what they say "for show only".  If you have originals, keep them and put them on for a show and put the kyb's on for driving.

Bill, I'm using the KG4515 and KG5521 on an unrestored 69 small block SS car with old original springs. I cannot say how they compare to originals but they do seem more subtle than the Bilsteins (which I love on the 68) FWIW.

I will try and remember to look I think my boxes are still in the garage. I think my shocks were white when I got them
