Hi guys,
I just ran into a rather odd, or ugly, cowl tag combo and I´m wondering if its common or not?  :o
The car is a 06A built X77D80 with 723 interior and 52/52 paint according to cowl tag....I'm told that the car is painted like greenish today, haven't seen it IRL yet, probably to match that green interior... ::)

Apparently a lot of people had some questionable taste in color combintations back in the late 60's.  There are some pretty strange combinations out there.

Maybe it was that pro drug era that made this happen....?  ;D

Or maybe he wanted a 'red/green' *Christmas car... :)        to contrast with the 'Halloween cars' that some of us have (in orange/black ext and interior)... :)

PS.  Back in the fifties, yellow cars with green or blue interiors were common (in std configuration).  I've seen early 90's ZR1's in RED with BLUE interiors.. and of course the most popular '96 Grand Sport Corvettes were blue with white stripes AND RED interiors! .. so unusual color combos have been optioned for by customers over the years, and mfgs have even opted for some as 'standard configurations'... :)

That required a color override confirmation from the dealer. Order processing asks is this really what you want and the dealer confirms it.

That's what I thought to....
No, don't have a pic for now but I'll try to get it since I've never seen the car IRL yet... ;)

My bad....I remembered the pic of the cowl tag I saw in my buddies cell phone wrong...the color is NOT 52.... its 57 and now everything makes sense!  :-[
Here is a pic of that tag:

I will start another thread in the right forum because I´m helping the owner and some friends to make this as correct restoration as possible....we are missing the MNO 302 block for instance....and I´m sure I´m going to need help from you guys with detailing!  :D

Yup! I'll get that VIN and then you have another Z for database, Kurt! :)
Isn't your car a X77 color 57, btw?

Nope, it's a RS/Z, code 57, 723. So same colors, just one more option on it. :)

Ah, that's right...now I remember! :) ...but it was close, wasn´t it? ;)
Maybe you have some pics of detailing that I can have as a reference during the restoration of this X77, things like paint, decals etc..?
