James, might want to check that link? The link is for a DZ, just not what you describe. The link is a 618, V0205DZ block. As long as we are on this linked ad, there are a few hilarious comments and observations: "He sold the car last year, incredibly the buyer didnt want the engine. This engine must have been an over the counter purchase because it never had a VIN stamped in it. You could just whack your VIN in it." and, this red flag gem, "Im selling this for my buddy John." along with 1 head cast on the same day the engine was built and the other 12 days after assembly!! I am sure that is just the surface of issues with this ad?

69Z28-RS

After examining the dates on the engine, along with that partial VIN, a 'best' guess
on the complete VIN would be 19N680067

It *might* be worth close to that much (in terms of increased value to his car) to the person who owns '69 Z28  (VIN 124379N680067) which doesn't have it's original motor - assuming this one IS the correct motor...

... but to anyone else?  NO WAY...  I wouldn't give $800 for it.

PS.  I'd guess that the original cars that the great majority of these 'orphan' engines came in... are mostly crushed down to scrap metal by now.

This seller's exchange rate must really be skewed. His pricing, historically, is far worse than some of our most notorious Camaro parts vendors -

We see this at times in the Mopar world, the seller may know the own of the car and is holding the block ransom.
