Very cool. Love the color combo. Surprised with the eye for correctness you didn't go with a silver grill though.

Was your car a flat hood, non spoiler car?

While I know it's not correct, I kinda liked the out-of-the-box grill color and left it that way. This car came with a functional cowl hood and spoilers, but it's definitely a Frankenstein model. I just wanted a good-looking, functionally-correct weekend driver that I didn't have to have originality/value worries about. Lots of stock-ish but not technically-correct part numbers or date codes. It's an essentially-correct 302 with an M21 Muncie and 4.10 ratio 12-bolt rear end. Most of the specs match the originals...

Even though not correct, I like the blue rallys!

MAN I LOVE IT!!!
I haven't seen too many Glacier blue Z28's, with the white roof and white stripes, I am lusting after it... the white sets it off.
And of course the fact that it doesn't have black interior+++

Very sharp ride indeed! I like it...

Hate to tell you, but the tag has been off the car and modified. It's an original 2-tone car, but the 33 in the X33 was added.

I really like those colors. Kurt I see what you are talking about. What could have been beside the X if the 33 was added?

Good eye Kurt. So this still leaves us looking for a current Z/28 with the 2 tone option...

Not necessarily! I blew up the picture and it appears the code "might" be X77. What do you guys think? A better picture would be better, but I think it's X77, so it would still be a Z28 that someone added Z21 to.

414blue, can you get us a higher resolution picture of just the X code?

By no means picking this guy's car apart. Just concerning the trim tag 33 font size broader then the rest of the tag,,top of the 7's. I'm no expert, just not consistent with the rest of the script, if 7's were there.

Although the pic does make them appear that way, the rallies aren't really that blue. They were actually painted the correct argent silver...

Figured the car would get picked at here, but I thought it was worth taking a chance on posting it anyway to provide an example of what the color combo looks - or would look - like, whether the tag's been modified at some point in the past or not. I've had it since '87 and that's the way I bought it. As I said before, it's a car that's definitely been apart and put back together from multiple source vehicles before I got it. I'll just run it and enjoy it for what it is. Thanks for the positive responses on the car, guys. We'll see you all out there...

Ed,
The spacing is way off. The two characters should be where the first character and the space are currently.

414,
Thanks for being a good sport about this. I think I would be remiss if I had not commented on it.
