My camera is at a different location. I will say it looks like the second picture except the date is different. They're spread apart just like picture 2. I will see if I can get a picture soon...Joe

ah..  Thanks Joe..  I've never seen a mast that was dated before, and I totally missed it the first time..  but reading your specific (go back to photo 2).. I found it and now I see and understand.   Is that date code only on the square type masts, or does someone have a trapezoidal mast with such a date code?

Gary, very early days but from the data so far, the NOR cars have trapezoidal masts with date stamped rivets, and the LA cars have square masts with the date stamp on the mast itself. Very interested to see if this is backed up by other owners, but we need many many more contributors.
