Not bad could be something if the numbers are verified. Looks to be originally frost green with a dark green interior. I am guessing that would dictate black stripes? Possibly a no spoiler car as well.

Those colors are nice....   Where's the fella who had the rusty car needing a body for his drivetrain???

The guy who posted the ad on craigslist, says he has the original drivetrain.

I email them asking for pics of the block, trans and rear stampings.  If all is matching that could be a steal specially if there's more parts as well.

Follow up.. owner must not be in a hurry to sell.  He responded back to my request with only.. "yes it's definitely a numbers matching and yes I have the interior"... still waiting for pics.

I believe it's off both of the other 2 sites (I couldn't find) and now on ebay at $15 K.  Oddly cause I've asked several times for pics of the #'s with no response.  Ironically the only pic showing a number is the block and it's blurry..just saying !  ;D

IMO..if it's all there and truly matching I think his earlier asking price of $19K would be a steal.

Is it me or is he showing pics of the VIN on the pad and down by the oil filter on this block?

It is shown on the pad and the oil filter boss...
The 12C X66 Norwood I have been working on has it's VIN by the Oil Filter, was Norwood alternating the locations for the VIN by mid January?

Shouldn't the Transmission have a A B C on it, the assembly date is Oct 22, I thought the cut off was before Oct 20th.

Rick, I think you are right. The very next picture after he shows the VIN on the pad.

VIN 124379N586332

At $16,100 and holding with no reserve.  Guess at closing it'll jump up.  The owner told me that "yes the VIN is stamped in both places" and that he's seen it in both places before on other Camaro's and a Chevelle he once owned.  Has anyone else ever seen a block punched twice in the two locations ? ..I guess it could happen, not sure why though.  I know it's just around the corner from when GM was to of switched locations.

My first suspicion at this point is that a past owner, not knowing the VIN was stamped above the oil filter, had the VIN stamped into the pad... I know when I bought my car, and didn't see the VIN stamped (as other cars I'd owned) on the pad, I *wondered* should I stamp it in myself..  I Now am very glad that I didn't do anything so stupid..  :)

Of course it's also possible that someone 'new' or forgetful' in the stamping station of the plant stamped it in the 'old' place, and then someone informed him, or he remembered, to stamp it in the 'new' location as well.
