I had a great time at the Temecula ROD RUN this year. It takes place in southern california, they shut down old town Temecula and pack as many cars in there as they can. Starts on Friday, then there is an exclusive old car cruise friday night, and full show down front street on saturday.  Last year they figured they had 70,000 people come out for the show. I think they get about 500 cars, ranging from rat rods to Camaros Knight rider( K.I.T.T) , the back to the future Deloren, Herbie the Love Bug, You can meet Vic Edelbrock and see all the newest and greatest offerings from his company. I wore my CRG shirt for the first time, and met Jack, and Zack fellow CRG members for the first time. THE SHIRT WORKS!

Great guys and good times. My wife and kids were out there all day today and everyone had a good time. Pictures to follow....

Good times for sure. First gens were well represented. We had 2 67 rs/ss, a 6 cyl 68 and my 69 Z all pretty much lined up together and there was probably at least 20 or 25 in total at the show.

Great pic Jack! That was a good couple of days for sure. Nothing like 85 degree weather at the beginning of March...good times, nice cars, cool people. Austin, had you not been wearing that CRG shirt I would've never stopped you to chat. Looking forward to hanging out with the two of you more in the future!

Seems like every time I meet up with other Camaro guys I learn more and more about my car.

Hey, I stopped and looked at hose cars! I bet you guys where standing right there and I missed the shirts. Next time I will look for CRG or other Camaro enthusiast shirts.

It was a good show, however they changed the spectator parking and it took forever for me to get parked. The town has a PA system and during the walk from parking to main street I could hear the typical car show Doo Wop music playing on it. I was pleasantly surprised by the various live music acts playing mostly rock instead of the doo wop. 8)

Man, that is so cool. We don't have anything like that around here. Oh wait, does Ocean City Maryland count? That's still a hike for me.

Great find. You can see our four Camaros in the second picture of the slide show on this page. You can see the 68 6 Cylinder, the Woodie, Jack's 69 Z, my 67 SS RS, and the 67 SS RS clone.

Maybe next year we could make more of an effort to organize the first gen Camaro owners and see if we can get a "Camaro corral". Might be cool to have the Camaro owners in one spot. Just an idea

For sure. I knew of at least one other guy who had a totally unmolested 6 cyl Camaro that couldn't make the show. He was there with his kids but didn't have time to bring his car. Not sure if you saw the red 68 RS that was closer to the south end with the tinted windows but I talked to him last year. He's a Temecula resident as well.

I did not make that show but a couple of friends did and had a blast, there is a all Camaro show first week in August at Selman Chevrolet in Orange Ca with over 125 Camaros all years and conditions, it was a good show last year!

Is that the Chevy dealership right off of Chapman Ave.? Right off the 55 freeway? If so, I know where that dealership is. Thanks for the heads up!

Well if we were to somewhat organize for next years Rod Run, we would have to have a good plan. Guys are pretty strategic out there, I saw guys filling spots on thursday with beater cars (to save a spot), and then swapping cars on Friday. I am in the know now

Yep. That spot that Jack and I had was plush. No strollers cruising through and scratching up your paint...and it had that storefront where you could sit back and grab some shade if you needed to. I'd like to get that area again if we could.

yeah Zac that's the one, if we organize I can probably get 12-15 Camaros to show up to Temecula. I hope you make the Selman show.

BULLITT65

only strollers that scratch up my paint, are my own!.. damn kids...j/k
Lucky for me all my cars are drivers, and any car show I have gone to thus far you didn't need a "show" car to participate.

The selman show sounds cool, out of the 125 camaros how many of those were first gens?
