pic of my `69 z28. i bought it from the 2nd owner in 1996, he got it in 1970 for graduation. i bought the car with 35,000 miles and most all the important stuff is still on it. motor, trans, rear, alt, starter, front shocks, carb, distrub, etc.

yes, original black car, trim tag reads 10-10. the car does get driven but don`t want to load the miles on it, lol i make sure to run a tank full or 2 through it to and from the local car shows and get it out in the light of day. it is a blast to drive and seems  to get peoples interest at the shows.

here`s a pic of the engine bay, needs some smog and the factory chambered back on it and the hood hinges de-chromed. anybody know if de-chroming is possible ? also wondering if anybody can install new ends on my factory spring ring battery cables ?

not bad Cam69. Not to sure about chrome removal. Might be easier to find a good original set of hood hinges, since every 69 had them. Smog can be pricey I have heard, they do make some nice chambered exhaust systems now, that jerry has given the thumbs up to. Plug wires aren't to hard to locate. I wonder if someone scrapped off the timing sticker from your radiator support?
I like the flat hood! ;) , Glad to have another member keeping their Camaro original!

yeah, the tune up decal was long gone when i got the car. i have to send the original carb to jerry to be rebuilt. when i bought the car the guy said he bought it with the sidepipes on it, but then produced a piece of the coveted chambered exhaust. actually the muffler and the pipe that goes over the rear end. i need to try to do a title search to find the 1st owner and see if he has any paperwork from when the car was new.

I would definitely try to obtain as much info as you can, I am still contact with the original owners wife of my car, and trying to get pics, and anything else they may run across. At this point any original items are priceless to me. Let us know how it goes

Take your hinges to a local plating/chrome shop, ask them to remove the chrome and return to you.   I'd suggest a good degreasing and removing the springs first.. hopefully they aren't chromed?

Nice car, black with white interior is a very nice contrast, would have been a cool graduation gift in 1970  ;D
