This balancer came with my 68 Z28 and I'm wondering if it's original to the car or an aftermarket guy. It's 8" by 1 and 11/16ths". There are no part numbers on it or many markings of any description :(

cheers

Is the timing mark lined up with the key?

rodent

No, It's slightly anticlockwise of the keyway(looking from the front).

Jim, if the timing mark is about 10 degrees before the keyway, it's a 69-on balancer.

Is it a factory piece or aftermarket? I'm not sure if it offset originally or it has spun, as is does not look to be 10 degrees to the keyway.

That's  a factory balancer...  '67 or '68?

It really looks like a GM piece to me. I could be wrong though. Wasn't the timing mark in line with the key way in 68 and older engines? I would think someone here would know something about this.

Here is a post on TC about what looks like yours.
