Hi, recently joined the forum.  I've had a look through some of the discussions and surprised to see that a number of Camaros were sold in France.  I bought my 67 RS convertible in Cambodia a few years ago and it has a GM France sticker on one of the side windows, ELF stickers on the windscreen and the yellow driving lights behind the grille.  It is now in Australia and still unrestored and looks a bit rough as you'll see from the photograph.
I'm interested in finding out some history on the car, particularly where it was assembled and who originally purchased it.  Appreciate any advice on where I could start to track this information down.

Aus,
Post pictures of your trim tag, VIN, engine pad, and any tags or stickers you may find. pictures of the yellow driving lights, side markers, wheels, seat belts and belt tags would also be intristing. That information would get you  started. I like original, unmolested cars.

Great car, with a very interesting life! I know folks would love to see photos of the vin plate and firewall trim tag, and If you get a chance, could you please post a photo of the speedometer in km?

What was, or is, that diamond shaped bracket in front of the grille for?  Did someone add it, or is it factory?

I'll get some photos of the tags next time I'm home. Dash photo attached, indicated 52,651 km but not sure if that is correct.
Not sure if the diamond ornament on the dash is original, it looks well done but may be an add-on done in Cambodia.  The story goes that the car was given to the King of Cambodia as a gift by the French government, but I haven't been able to verify this.  You'll notice also the small turned attachments on either side below the bumper.  Apparently these held the King's flags for processions and the like.

Thanks very much for the speedo photo! What part of Aus are you in?

Not far from the sign you use as your photo by the look of it.  Currently in far North Queensland, but Victoria is home.  You?

Nice car and very neat history on the car as well.

Any chance of seeing that trim tag? Looks like a pretty loaded car, not uncommon for an export car.
I see PW, PB, RS, AC, maybe stereo, guages, etc.
Does it also have a French tag under the hood?

Thanks!
