1969 Camaro Z28 RS Official Car of Ice Race in Granby, Quebec February 1969

Now for something completely different.  A 1969 Camaro Z28 RS was used as the Official Pace Car / Safety Car for an ice rice held in Granby, Quebec, Canada  on February 16, 1969.  The event was sanctioned by the Club Auto Sport Metropolitan (CASM).  Most of the cars that participated in the race were small 4 cylinder powered cars like Minis, Beetles and Volvos but a Nova and a 1967 Camaro were also part of it.

Here is a shot of the Chevy II/Nova that participated.  In the caption for his post Denis wrote, "Dave Innes is now driving the Lake Chevy II. But this time, the car was disqualified for having too many studs on the wheels."
