Do assembly-line brass Y-blocks for Holley dual-feed carburetors on '67-'69 Camaros have any identifying markings to look out for?

I'm not sure but I can look at mine Wednesday and see. I don't know how to prove its original, but I will post a pic or two if it has any markings at all.

Tim I just looked at the one from my 10B L.A. car. At first glance I do not see any stamps, or identifying marks. I am cleaning it, if I see anything faint I will let you know.

I just got done cleaning mine. I didn't see any marks on it. I know it is a brass block, but looked like it may have been plated ?

I cleaned some on the wire wheel and it did make them look like they were not brass but I think they are.

A wire wheel did not work on mine. It had some deep scratches, so I just wet sanded it. Shined right up. I am sure it will dull over time, but it seems I have seen some of the blocks with a dull silver appearance to them.

Thanks one and all. I have seen some that appear to be silver zinc over brass (although I'm not really sure why brass would need to be plated.....), and some just natural brass finish. I was led to believe mine should have a weatherhead stamping, like the radiator drain petcock, but am confident there would have been more than one supplier

I have never seen any manufacturers markings on the '69 Z/28 fuel block.

Weatherhead fittings were/are available at any hardware store.  Not sure about the assembly line.

Agreed, that's why I wanted to ask about what owners here have on their cars.

I was working for NAPA in 1976 when I purchased my Z/28. That block was missing but I had seen others with the Weatherhead marks. I contacted Weatherhead as we were a big dealer for their brass. I was told then that that fitting was only available from the O.E. The one that is on my car has those marks. As I recall, I purchased it from a guy who had a 69 & decided to make a race car. I also purchase the crank from him....Joe
