Does anyone know if the gm outer door weatherstrip will work for 68 cars with upper door reveal molding?  I am refering to gm part# 7729998. I have a chance to buy some but want to make sure it fits the reveal molding

The book shows 7729998 (Group 10.710 - Strip Assy-Strip, Front Door Glass Run Channel) as "68-69 Camaro Outer at belt".

I agree with Ed.  The book shows only one part number (7729998) for the outer strip.  However, there are two different part numbers for the inner strip: standard trim (7731200) vs. custom trim (7755881).

NO, these are for cars WITHOUT the stainless reveal mouldings and will not work!  The 68 special reveal mouldings use a different fuzzie but I do not know the PN.  Repops are junk and the only way I got mine was to purchase a complete set of NOS mouldings that came with the fuzzies attached.

Here are the ones you question, as you can see they have the small chrome bead and overlap the top of the door where the ones you need will mount directly to the inside of the stainless reveal moulding as that wraps the top of the door.

THE CORRECT PART# FOR A 1968 CAMARO WITH REVEAL MOLDING IS#9715110. THE OTHER WINDOW FUZZIE IS FOR 68-69 WITHOUT REVEAL MOLDINGS & WILL NOT WORK !! I TRIED THE REPOS & THEY DON'T WORK TO WELL. I FOUND A ORIGINAL SET PART#9715110 & CAMPARED THEM TO MY ORIGINAL'S  & THEY WORKED GREAT!!!!
