I was searching the net for information on the new Concept Camaro and I stumbled upon the fist ever Camaro TV commercial released in October 1966. I thought you guys might be interested in it. Because of the way the website is setup I can't give you a direct link. Just follow the following instructions. Go to the website at:

http://chevynation.com/

Click on "CHEVY CLUBHOUSE" and wait for the different Chevy models to appear. Place your curser over the new Concept Camaro and click. At the bottom of the Menu on the left side click on "Time Capsule: 1967 Ad". Play the video and enjoy.

That is one HOT Camaro.

Cool!  Wow that commercial is 2 minutes long.  I wonder if it aired during the Superbowl or something.

I know a guy that has had 4 69 z28s in his time, all back in the day. He told me about a commercial on Tv  where they had a 69 under a tree revving up the engine promoting the chambered exhaust system. Does anyone remember that ad?

And did you notice how long that commercial is!  Ford actually had a 3 minute commercial in 1966.  We must have been more patient back then... or it was further to the fridge.  ::)

I especially like that it's a Butternut Yellow car!

Very cool advertising - and I had the same thought - a 2 minute commercial!

On the same menu, go 5 buttons up and check out the one marked:  "The Day the Panther Died".

If you know your Camaro history, you'll understand the significance.  If not, check it out.

Richard,

I did notice "The Day the Panther Died"...
I've read several descriptions of that press conference, but that's the first time I've heard of SEPAW...

My wife says she never got that dressed up to go to the store, especially with heels.  But then she went to the closet and produced the Arnold Palmer sweater that I owned in 69....

Think I'll wear it the next time I drive the Camaro...
