I found this GM writeup on prepping the 302 for H-D service. I also posted it in the Trans-Am forum since some of them don't venture into the other parts of the forum. ;)

I also found some information on the 2x4 intake.

Both are in the library section of the site. http://www.camaros.org/library.shtml

Just a thought - Might be good to post the "Green Sheets" car prep details, if you have them.

Lots of things would be good to add. Gotta have scans to do that.

OK, why would it not be recommended to put new rocker arms in the exhaust position, only used ones?

Thanks Jim!
The Green Sheets are the updated version of the Super Sport Equipment manual. Both are now in the Library.

In his book "The Unfair Advantage" Penske driver Mark Donohue mentioned having problems with burned rocker arms & balls during the '67 season. It became their practice to swap rockers and balls that had mated on an intake valve to an exhaust valve. Exhaust parts run much hotter than intakes; used parts resisted burning better than new ones.
Learning more and more about less and less...

That's a book I need to read, haven't done so yet. That makes sense I guess that you'd put one that is broken in first.

Read that book several years ago due to William's suggestion and it's a great read.
