For the RS 68, the AIM shows some sore of wrapping on the vacuum hoses. Non sticky tape black maybe. The non RS version doesn't show it with a covering. However, the C60 options shows the vacuum hose with no wrap.  I'm curious. 68 and 9 pictures included. Comments welcomed.

I do see what you are thinking, but I bet it is just the technical illustrator's freedom to draw a hose and keep the confusion to a minimum given the body and other various parts shown. I know of No Wrap on any vacuum lines.

Then I submit this to you good sir.

Due to the tape wrapping of the harness is more pronounced and the hose stripes (as I'll call them) are for what I believe a visual callout to identify what is needing to be done.  That is my view of what is being described in the prints.  It could also be up to the drafter as to how he was taught or instructed as far as print details.  I wouldn't hold every detail as gospel from the AIM.

Yup there you go;

Wire wrapping, drawn on / via a angled, or bias'ed line along the wire bundle patch to indicate electrical harness of two or more wire wrapped for mechanical and environmental protection purposes.

Hose Not wrapped, drawn on / via a perpendicular line to simulate a round tube or the outer boundary, especially of a circular area; perimeter: feature of the drawn part: Hose.

Rubber hoses were not wrapped from the factory. They were color coded if necessary, but not wrapped. Only wire harnesses were wrapped.

Retainer straps are called out, but no wrapping.
