Hey guys, was the BU 12 bolt used on a early 1968 Z-28 ? Also is a used one in good condition worth 2500.? Vince

Yes, the BU axle was available from the start of production. As for value, there are too many variables to give an opinion, but around here (southern California), used first generation Camaro 12 bolts usually sell between 1k and 2k depending on ratio, condition, etc...

That isn't cheap, but it's reasonable for what it is, pending on the condition.
Haven't seen a 12 bolt for less than 1500 for a while.

Potentially some good stuff there. Ad was posted 30 days ago. Might not be anything left. But worth checking into. If the Dec 66 axle is all original, that could be from a 67 Z28.

Does the BU look original? Vince
