I am not sure if I asked the proper question or not ?
When I asked for "any info"
What is the database , who holds it and who
has access to it ?
Who should I ask to look for my vin
in the database ?
Apparently all vins are not in this database
Thanks to all for your input and help!

N502923 is not in the CRG database.

The database is/was primarily a research tool. It contains VIN and body tag data; some build data also. It has been useful for determining when production changes were made. It was not intended to be a vehicle history file. Data has been furnished by owners and others that recorded info from Camaros seen at shows. In some cases info came from old dealership records; those cars may or may not exist. In order to encourage contribution, submissions are confidential.

Kurt has put a lot of work into creating and maintaining the db.

Learning more and more about less and less...

Just wondering, in the data base how many of each year car in accounted for as still existing (are there 40% of 67's still out there, 38% of 68's and 115% of 69's?

I'm not understanding the question. 20,000+ cars in db, 600,000+ production.

Kurt, I think what is being asked by the OP ? is: based on that DB 20k+ figure, the OP would like a break down of the number of each year in the DB and then divide each year in DB with the known production total to get that % sought. IIUC? The 115% 69 was the OP being facetious.

No way to tell how many still exist. Some of the data is based on paperwork only, engine only, trans only, etc.

Many of us are constantly searching for new data.

yes the 115% of 69's was a joke because of all the new body's that were made of the 69's. (I like them for restomods)
I was just wondering if anybody had an idea through keeping tract of sales and vin# of actual cars if you had a feel of how many real cars are left.
