I have purchased rem gun oil and it seems to be the choice for coating painted and unpainted parts, bolts, ect...  Applied with a small brush to parts on the car and it seems to work well.

Has anyone else used this oil?  WD 40 seems to evaporate after a day or so.

Thanks for the input

I use it on my firearms and it works great for that purpose. The thing is it can be a dust magnet on automotive parts because it doesn't dry enough. I would get a product (I use Birchwood Casey's Dri-Touch) that goes on wet using an artists brush and dries to a protective film so as not to attract dust and dirt.

I'm thinking seriously about uing the Dr-Touch, since so many of the other gun oils are such dust magnets.
