I recently purchased a 69' Camaro that had no choke that sputtered and dieed until fully warmed up. I just had an electronic choke put on it and the engine runs much better and smoother. BUT, the first few seconds after starting the beast, I usully have to keep a slight increase in RPM to prevent it from sputtering down. Again, after a minute or two, the beast runs pretty good.
Any help or suggesstions would be greatly appreciated.
FYI:
I set and replaced the plugs. Put on new cables and had the engine timed too?

The black plastic round choke housing where the wire connections are is adjustable; loosen the three screws that attach it and turn it a notch or two clockwise (rich) and try that; turning it clockwise increases the choke action (and fast idle rpm), and turning it the other way (lean) decreases it.

please check your choke pull of( check the line for proper vacuum first) the pull of could be defective and not crack open the choke plate at all(rich) or if not properly adjusted it could pull the choke plate too far open(lean)
