What is the correct coolant temp sensor for 69 Camaro V-8 w/o gauge package. Pin or spade connector? Pictures? Thanks, Steve.

Read THIS Steve. (the CORRECT one is pictured in the post dated 08/26/11 at 10:39PM and also in the post two under that dated 08/26/11 at 11:11PM, both by ssl78 - John Platania.)

Ed something is wrong. Neither times have a corresponding thread entry.  Mine is not like any of these either. My wiring harness is equipped for a spade type but has a big head on it like a rivet. The wire clips down over it. The end on the wiring harness has a slot for it to slide up in to.

If you do a search for "temp sensor" there are several hits.  I didn't review each for relevance but there may be some help in one of the threads.

I'm not sure why you can't find the posts I'm referring to, but here's a picture of the correct one without gauges.

I don't know but the last post is dated 8/26/11 but it's 9:26 PM and that's it. No 10 or 11 o'clock post.  Does the end of the wiring harness have a rubber nipple over the end of it to slip up on the sender not just a single wire to plug up to the pin?

Ok, I think I know why you guys can't find it. The date and time is dependant on where you live! I live on the west coast, so those times I posted are for Pacific Standard time. Add or subtract the correct amount of hours for where you live and you should be okay.

As for the wire, yes, there's a rubber (? - could be a soft plastic??) cover with the metal connector inside it that attaches to the sender.

Nope... that is oil pressure. The temp wire is in a different harness.

Yep, you're right. Sorry about that. The Generator and forward lamp harness is the one with the temp sender wire (P/N CA97541).

I'm not trying to be argumentative or anything like that but my wiring harness has a split type connector and it wouldn't work on this pin type sender. Mine has that short pin with a head on the end of it. This is just a picture I picked up off the net but the end is like mine.

If someone who knows how to put pics on here will send me their email address I will email a pic of the correct end on the wiring harness for a 69 Camaro temp. sender without gauges. I have an original harness from one of the ZL-1's that was ordered without gauges.

Send it to me if you like.

Pics sent. After removing the white plastic sleeve I can tell this end has been repaired. It looks like it was recrimped so I don't know for sure it is the original end, but it is for a round post type temp sender. Hope this helps.

My 68 without gauges has that kind of end and button on the sensor.  Where can you get the end that goes over the connector that has the slot in it?
