Was looking at old car pics for sale at Carlisle last week and ran across this old picture and what surprised me was the 68 Corvette. You can see it was a parade prior to a Nascar race of some kind. Was this a race Saturday before the Indy 500? Just wondering if the Corvette was some type of pre-production show car or? Would seem odd to have all those 69 pace cars together a year later???? Anyone know? Gotta love those ol' pictures.  ;D

That's very likely a USAC late model stock car race at IRP, Indianapolis Raceway Park, in Clermont Indiana during May'69.

The Corvette is probably a '69.

Corvette is a '68, Round Turn Signal.

'69 Vettes have round front turn signal lamps too.

I don't understand this question.

Corvette could be '69 as was stated, they have round turn signals. Overpass says Indianapolis Raceway Park home of NHRA, should be easy to figure out. Google is your friend. May 5, 1969 USAC stockcar race, Yankee 250, Parnelli Jones won.
