Anyone have some photos of the correct location of an inline fuel filter with return line of a 396/350hp engine and Qjet carb. I have one that is located above the water pump right in front of the fan. I have never seen it in this location before, and am not sure if this was added or is correct?

Yes, according to RPO L35/34-A5 of the assembly manual, what you show there appears to be exactly correct. :)

Thanks. I have been told this car is orginal except for a body on repaint and added Vintage air. I guess I also need to invest in some manuals.

The manuals are money extremely well spent. Especially the Factory Assembly Instruction Manual. It is GOLD.  ;)
Take advantage of the those poor Ford and Mopar guys don't have..

The versions on CD-Rom are very good for all three years, from Dave Graham Auto Literature, Inc.
The paper ones xeroxed a bazillion times or de-assembled and scanned - you really need to pick up at a show and thumb through them to Judge or download a few copies from different folks to work around bad scans and missing pages.
