Sauron>>> WouldDuramix part #4274 be the right stuff?
Affirmative, for the outer portion. Here's the TDS: http://multimedia.3m.com/mws/mediawebserver?mwsId=66666UuZjcFSLXTtmxfaLXf2EVuQEcuZgVs6EVs6E666666--&fn=DFU_04274.pdf If a jobber does not have a TDS or one is not provided with a product, all are available on line. Including paint.

Yup - the right side stiffener was definitely removed and reattached/replaced along with the right quarter. Amazing what a car can tell you if you know what the heck your looking at.

Thanx Scott.

Dang Marty I didn't know your car had been under the knife. Was it wrecked or rusty?

John - you probably get tired of hearing this but your car never ceases to amaze. Every corner of that car is in excellent original condition! Thanks for sharing.

Only took five years and detailed inspection of about twenty '69 Z/28's to find it. :-)

I don't think any of us would expect anything less from JohnZ. Job well done to say the least!  :)

Thanks all. Mine are missing. Scott, my car had both quarters replaced and one side does have a GM part number sticker on it.

When I stated factory tin I was referring to the sheetmetal the factory installed. I see how my post could be taken in different ways. When originally assembled, there were no labels on your car's sheetmetal. Hopefully anyone who had a quarter replaced years go did not receive a collision cut. They slice the quarter's sailpanel under the original sail panel/roof skin seam to save time.

I just finished cleaning mine up prior to to putting them back in, imagine my surprise when I found Date Codes.  H38 on both, but kind of curious why one was stamped from the top and the other from the bottom?  Attaching a pic.
