I came across this car over 25 years ago in N. Indiana. A great guy no longer with us, Mike Hulick, bought it for parts. He did not know it was a Z/28 until he found the warranty folder. He later gave me the rest of the data.

Learning more and more about less and less...

I am listing this numbers matching 67 Camaro Z-28 engine, transmission & rear for my friend Joe. What he has is a numbers matching drive train from a 1967 Z-28.  All real.  No restamps.  All three componets are from the same car & the dash with vin number.  The car was cut up in the 1980s & all parts stored since.

302 Block is standard bore, has been cooked & magafluxed.  Casting # 3892657.  Casting date C 9 7 & production dated June 11,1967  Vin # 7N240132 & stamped VO5TIMO.  Included is the original  forged 11:1 pistons,  newly machined .010 forged steel crankshaft  # 3815822 & intake manifold #3917610 .

Transmission is a Muncie M-21 & is completely rebuilt & restored.  Vin 7N240132 number is on transmission with casting date P7C277.

Rear differential stamped PJ 0518 G1.  3:73 gears w/ positraction & traction bar.

In addition to drive train & included is a serviced dated 3910  Holley carburetor & the original Harrison UH code radiator.

Please call Joe with questions at 610-334-5190. Joe is selling this drivetrain complete so don not ask to split up or sell individual parts.  Prefer pickup in person at  Reading area Pennsylvania address.

Joe is also looking for a 1967 Z28 original cowl plenum air cleaner.

What makes you think it could have been green? If it was Mountain green there was a '67 that used to run at York US 30.

WYKOFF692, Hey Capt. John, just wondering what you know about this car? Seems everyone thinks its 100% cut up, but know one seems to know for sure. I could be setting behind a shed somewhere in a pile. I have found cars like that before. I have been doing some searching and been in contact with the second owners of the car in Indiana. Seems it went to Michigan and then to New Jersey, maybe?  Anyway, just wondering if you know anything about it? Thanks

Dave, I know nothing about the 67Z.   I am referencing a past thread about a certain 1969 green RS

Z/28
that was auctioned off at BJ few years ago.
