Need advise for preserving these brakes.

Please offer advise on how to keep rust at bay without damaging stamps and spring color coding.

Thanks!

KevinW

Only thing I know of is safest rust remover http://www.safestrustremover.com/default.asp  but if you drive it it will look like that again shortly :)

Looks like a great product. I like the fact that its safe with most paints, water soluble & reasonably priced.

After the rust remover has been applied is there anything aside from primer that will slow down rust and is safe on painted stamps?

Thanks Kevin

A lot of people use boeshield (sp?) on natural metal to keep it from rusting, but I don'r know how it would hold up on brakes.

Thanks Kevin,

Sounds like a good product I think I'll research it further. I'll shoot them a email & let them know what I have in mind. They should be able to tell me if it will work for this application.

I just checked their website and I don't think it will work because Boeshield is acidic & will most likely remove the factory painted on stamps. I shot them an email anyway. Maybe I should just wait until I here back from them...if I here anything I'll let you know...
