If I am not mistaken this is the correct 67-68 Z motor mount

See how much more MEAT is around the single lower bolt hole?

That mount is the correct 67,68 z mount. The part number is 466.   John  Allouez Restorations

Well if the one above is correct, try this link:     http://www.paragonreproductions.com/popup.aspx?src=images/Product/large/1720.jpg
Does this one look correct?

If so the catalog information is:     http://www.paragonreproductions.com/p-357341-engine-mount.aspx

Here is a photo of one mounted on a 68 302 Z28:     http://picasaweb.google.com/LucasRestorations/JayS68RSZ281#5252024307394294850

This photo is from an engine on a 68 Z28 in a car being restored by Lucas Restoration.  Don't know if this is the original mount but it looks like the ones displayed above.

Would the engine mount for a 68 z28 302 be the same as what was used on the 68 350ss?
I ran into the same problem and am looking for original style mounts for a 350.

I understood the 283 and 327 to use the same mounts and 302 and 350 to use the same as well.
Not sure if this is true though.

Cheers,
John

283 is not the same, it uses the light duty one, some 327's used the mount.

Hey John,
According to my 1976 parts manual the 302 and 350 had the same part number.  I have found two sources and they are both Corvette speciality companies.
      Paragon Reproductions -   http://www.paragonreproductions.com/p-357341-engine-mount.aspx?SectionFilterID=0
Long Island Corvette Supply - http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb.dll?parta~dyndetail~Z5Z5Z50000370a~Z5Z5Z5AAEXE~P35.00~~~~S2NQ104C4474197105221h~Z5Z5Z5~Z5Z5Z50000370a

Just not sure they are the same as the ones for the Camaro.  Might give them a call and see what their opinion is as to the fit.  Check my links above for the contact info.

Boy that paragon one sure looks like first gens picture.  That's why I asked, sometimes the Corvette stuff is repro'd that will work on the Camaros.  Thanks.

Just an update.  I ordered the MM from Paragon ( $38 a pair) and they are dead on.  Looks just like first gens picture and on the links from Sonet.  Thanks guys.  When I talked with them they had no real knowlege about whether it would work for Camaro, but thought they could be the same.  Long Island had the same mounts at more money and got them from some vendor and didn't know where he got them from.  I assumed they must be the same although I don't know for sure.  Now if I could just find some original type through bolts and nuts etc.

The original bolts have an A with three lines and are fine thread. The washers are thick and the nuts are the same as the spring shackle nuts. The repops are ok but not dead on.They would be ok for a driver or non judged resto.  John Allouez Restorations

Paragon has a set that has the "A" headmark...here is a photo: http://www.paragonreproductions.com/popup.aspx?src=images/Product/large/1922K.jpg

If interested....here is the ordering info: http://www.paragonreproductions.com/p-358832-engine-mount-attaching-bolt-kit.aspx

BTW....John is right my Camaro mount bolts have the "A" headmark, washers, and the castle nut.

Figures, I ordered the mounts before I checked out the bolts.  Oh well, nothing new.   John do you know the size of the originals and/or a part #?  I know the repros I got at Rick's seemed too long and would have hit my fuel pump if I hadn't ground it down a bit.  I wondered if AMK carried the correct part, otherwise, if I had the length of the bolts I could match it up with Paragon.  Thanks.

Mine are 3 3/4" from below the head to the end of the threads....another 1/8' taper after the threads.

Thanks, the Paragon ones seem to be right.  They're 3 3/4", the repros I have are 4 1/2" , way too long.  I like how Rick's says "correct for..." not.
