Was anyone at Carlisle? And did anyone see the brand new red '69 COPO in the Armo display? It was a complete brand new car, can be "ordered" with any options. What did you think of it?

Nice appearing car but there are many issues that they could have corrected without extra cost when building this car.  For example, incorrect Firestone tires are installed on these cars.  Could have installed Goodyears but did not.  With some tweeking, they could be nice for the local cruise nights and power tours.

Another factor is the costs.

I didn't ask what, but what do they do for a title? In PA. it should get a reconstructed title as if it were a kitcar. That would also mean an ugly blue serial number plaque on the firewall.

This is the Trim Tag on the red car at SEMA.

Thats taking a reproduction trim tag to a whole new level.  How does GM and or Fisher (if they still existed) feel about CARS making a car out of a bunch of peice-parts that GM may or may not have made or licensed, then attaching a tag to it that says GM certifies that it meets all of the requirements in effect when it was made (which was 2009).  Hope they have good lawyers.

If they are going to all of that trouble I would think that they have the blessing of GM.No matter how you look at it, the car is a clone and a very nice one at that. But with GM's troubled I'm sure thay have other things on their mind right now. Let's just hope they make it through this mess.

That is the same company that made the Yenko clone.

I wonder what the buyers do about taxes. Some states get a 7% sales tax when you go to register the car. That will be over 7K just to put plates on it.

When I came across this car at Carlisle, the first thing I did was look at the sticker.....

I think I can buy a real copo for the same price.....

Personally, they can keep it....
