Insrument cluster question

I have a 68 camaro grotta blue with the blue int. the int has never been painted on or touched,
my question is, is it common for the instrument cluster to be faded, it still has a blue tint but close to silver, it does not look out of the ordinary just faded. Is this common on this color?

Not unusual - the cluster was painted at AC Spark Plug before it was assembled, and the rest of the dash around it was painted by Fisher Body when the car was built - different paints, different process.
