Hi Gents, Just purchased Al Mason Z28. I'm looking for any pictures or details of its ownership between 1971 and 1983. Looking for the original engine as well.

Although there were not any photos of Wiseman's Camaro in the book "Trans-Am The Pony Car Wars 1966 - 1972" by Dave Friedman, Wiseman placed 16th at the 1971 Trans-Am race at Lime Rock and 10th at Mid-Ohio.  Great photo of the former Trans-Am car today!

Hi Gents, here is the car in the racing Camaro book along with Smokey and Al Mason when Al was at Smokey's picking up and engine.

If anyone asks about your Camaro competing in Trans Am series, you can tell them that Wiseman finished ahead of Parnelli Jones at the 1971 Lime Rock race (Parnelli only completed 5 laps).

Thanks for the information. When I drive the car with the manual steering I think about how the guys managed to muscle these cars around the track, it really needs to be driven.

Penske experimented with adding power steering to their 1969 Trans Am Camaro, but ended up using the N44 manual steering:

We don't have this car in the CRG database. Could you send me pics of the cowl tag and drivetrain stampings if any are original?

There isn't to much stock equipment on this car,  HD / J56 diff. and brakes, purchased from Smokey back in 1968.

Is the original cowl tag still on the car?
