1969 Power steering box covers

Would a 1969 01C build power steering box cover have the Highway S Logo or no logo.
Was told that the S logo didn't appear until 1970, but yet I see many, supposed originals with the S logo.
was the 5686555 raised molded or stamped.
so much conflicting info out there my heads ready to explode.
or if there is an original picture of one, that would be great.

I have a cast in "S" on my original box.  Julian date "274 8" Car was built on Oct '68.  Not sure how to post pictures here but I do have one.

Maybe there was some variation or asumptions?

I have a March 1969 p/s box on my 68 Z/28 with the "S" on the cover. My 8/28/1969 SS396 p/s box doesn't have the "S" on the cover...Joe
